Vineyards
Margerum sources fruit from many of Santa Barbara County’s top vineyards and terroirs — Rhône varietals from our own estate in the Los Olivos District, Sauvignon Blanc from Happy Canyon, and, for Barden, exclusively from the Sta. Rita Hills.
The Margerum Estate Vineyard, on Alamo Pintado Road in the Los Olivos District AVA, was established in 2016: eighteen acres planted to ten red and white Rhône varietals, with five Syrah clones on the steep hillsides. It is farmed organically and sustainably.
Beyond the estate, we work with growers from the cool eastern end of the Santa Ynez Valley — Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara, home of our Sybarite Sauvignon Blanc — to the cold vineyards of the Sta. Rita Hills toward the western end of the valley, where Barden’s Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are grown.
Every wine on this site names the vineyards in its blend.
