2022 Margerum Über Syrah

ÜBER is the culmination of a fifteen-year pursuit to craft our ultimate expression of Syrah. This co-fermentation brings together select lots from six of Santa Barbara County’s finest vineyards, anchored by Estate fruit and complemented by Black Oak, Rancho Boa Vista, Zotovich, and Watch Hill. Small portions of each clone and harvest lot are added throughout the season, building depth and complexity naturally. Aged for 16 months in French oak barriques and bottled unfined, unfiltered, and without racking, the wine is deeply colored and expressive. Aromas of dark fruit, spice, earth, and savory notes lead to a concentrated yet seamless palate with exceptional balance and length.
